Swords for sale
I believe this to be an early 17C mino katana, probably earlier as it has been shortened. This is the real thing, not some crappy chinese or Spanish copy. It has been shortened and there is no signature on the tang. It is in reasonable polish, but has some marks and very small nicks from Iaido practice. The Tsuka needs rebound and the blade has some lamination openings, but this does not detract from a beautiful blade. The saya has been restored to it's former glory with approximately 100 layers of lacquer. The Tsuba and the Fuchi are signed.
