Crandart Knives Unique hand forged knives in Damasteel, hand forged Damascus and tool steel to individual designs. My knives are made only after discussing the customers requirements at length. Each knife is made as a one off and is unique, I don't import and use ready made blades. The Hilt can be made from a wide range of materials such as Red Deer Antler, many varieties of Burr or even Lignum Vitae. The guard can be made in Mokume (3 layer Ladder and rain Drop are available), bronze, copper or Damasteel.
UK distributor for Damasteel stainless steel. Damasteel Damascus steels offer the ancient tradition of pattern welding, with the best steel properties of today. There are four types available. Three are Damascene steels i.e. they have patterns in them, the third is without pattern. All are RSP (Rapidly Solidified Powder technique) steels with much higher fracture strengths compared to conventional steels. Applications include knives, flat ware, jewelry and gun barrels.
